YouTube’s 400% surge in uploads

On Friday, the 19th of June, YouTube saw a 400% surge in video uploads. Over the past six months YouTube had a 1700% increase in videos being uploaded. So how did they see 400% in one day? The release of the iPhone 3G S and it’s capability to shoot video and upload directly to YouTube without having to sync to a computer. The new iPhone can use your YouTube account information and upload videos directly to the YouTube servers. This makes it so easy to shoot a video and save it elsewhere. You can remove the video from your phone and go about your business. Nice little feature I must say. So now with the iPhone madness out of control, I am sure we will see some crazy videos.
